i LOVE this notebook!! i use it as a sketchbook and it is so gorgeous to have around. i got it at a thrift store and had to look up the brand because it is so awesome. and moonster is suuuch a cutie name! i love it and only a few days in it’s attached to me!

Beautiful soft leather, excellent cotton paper

I really like this journal. The thing I like best is the paper, its not lined and it’s very soft and thick and any pen or ink glides smoothly, it feels very nice to write. A pet peeve of mine is when pages don’t lay flat when writing in a journal, which is why spiral binding is tempting, but the way this journal is bound allows the pages to lay flat enough that it’s not irritating, and the soft leather cover is heavy enough that it helps the journal lay open while writing. Other reviews noted a strong chemical smell from the paper but this was not the case for me, and I’m very sensitive to chemical odor; there was a slight smell when I first opened it and had it on my lap to write, but it was faint and quickly dissipated and I haven’t noticed it since. The reason for four stars instead of five is that there is no strap or pocket for your pen or other items; however, the cover is loose enough that you can hook your pen on the pages as a bookmark. The other inconvenience is that there is no ribbon bookmark, but if you use a pen with a clip on it, it doubles as the bookmark. Otherwise I love the journal, the look of it, the size, and the cotton paper.
